Private Events

When you are looking for a unique and fun way to enliven a social event or tour group, our private hunts are the perfect way to go. Book a treasure hunt for a birthday celebration, exciting afternoon with friends, or as a thrilling way to explore San Francisco!

Turn your party into an intriguing adventure

Become a clue-solving sleuth for a day in an engaging and fun treasure hunt!

Players are organized into teams of 4-6 members and compete to solve an array of intellectual clues that lead them through colorful parts of the city to the finish line. Our treasure hunt clues will direct them toward spectacular views, uncommon locales, hidden artwork, and evocative remnants of San Francisco’s rich history.

Past treasure hunts have led participants to see:

  • The art deco apartment building where Humphrey Bogart hid out in the 1947 film “Dark Passage”
  • The whisky warehouse whose owner saved it from destruction following the 1906 earthquake by bribing the firemen with some of his wares
  • The alley where Sam Spade’s partner was gunned down in the 1941 film noir “The Maltese Falcon”
  • The plaque commemorating the site where Barbary Coast “hoodlums” were hanged by vigilantes

Our treasure hunts are custom made to fit every team’s size, schedule, and objective. Familiarity with San Francisco’s streets and history are not necessary. Instead, participants will be challenged to work as a team to solve puzzles, read maps, and research trivia on popular culture, current events, literature, and history to succeed.
