Volunteers | San Francisco Treasure Hunts


Have more FUN and be a volunteer with the Treasure Hunt.

Meet other hunters, learn about the inner workings of putting on this event, and help out a worthy cause.

We can use a few people for selected tasks in the weeks preceding the Hunt, but most of the help we need is on the day of the Hunt itself. Volunteers are needed for a range of tasks :

  • to help set up the site (i.e. hang signs, haul boxes of supplies, arrange tables and chairs, set up the walkways, staff registration tables)
  • give out hunt materials, collect raffle entries, help players form teams, and other similar tasks.
  • We also need a small crew to help do site clean-up after the Hunt.

Prior experience with the Hunt is helpful but not essential. As a volunteer, you'll be asked to arrive from 2-3 hours early (depending on what you'll be doing), and to help out until the Hunt starts. ALL VOLUNTEERS WILL STILL BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE NORMALLY IN THE HUNT. For your valiant volunteering efforts we'll provide a casual lunch and our hearty gratitude, and you can participate in the treasure hunt for free. To be an effective volunteer, we ask that you

  • contact us at least 2 weeks before the hunt,
  • make your team arrangements in advance.
